The Bucs efficiently take the ball down the field on their second drive capped by a 4 yard run with RoJo twisting to get in the end zone. Bucs up 14-7. After both teams exchanged stops the 49ers started a drive with 4 min to go before the half. Jimmy G was dealing, working the sticks converting 3 straight third downs and getting them to the 1 with 41 seconds and two time outs. The Buc D came up huge with two straight TFLs pushing the 49ers back to the 8. Third and goal from the 8, 16 seconds and a timeout.
Player of the game Lavonte David made the first of his two game changing plays. He drove on the slant and almost came away with the pick. The 49ers settle for a FG to cut the score to 14-10 at the half. The 49ers go three and out to start the 3rd. The Bucs take a 21-10 lead in the 3rd on a Chris Godwin 53 yard TD. The 49ers would not give up battling! Coach Gpoo made a gutsy call going for it on 4th and 2 at his own 47. The decision worked out as the 49ers drive resulted in a TD and 2 point conversion to make it 21-18 Bucs to end the quarter. After both teams exchanged turnovers and stops it came down to a game winning or tying drive or a Buccaneer stop. The 49ers started their final drive from their own 44 with one timeout and 2:54 left in the game.
Jimmy G executed the hurry up offense driving all the way to the Tampa 7. 3rd & 3 from TB 7, 9 seconds, no timeouts, Coach Gpoo opted to play for the win. Lavonte David sealed the win preventing a catch and run by Deebo Samuel. Good game coach Gpoo! The Bucs had the Ace and Jack of Spades this time.
