Postgame Presser: Ravens HC

Early game road jitters receded after the opening minutes and the offense settled in on its playmakers to create. Sparked by a pick6 from Shareece Wright the Ravens exploded with 21 points in the 2nd quarter; the momentum carried over the half where they were able to secure the game with an additional 14 points. Playing it safe from there on ended the game at 35-8

Joe came out overly excited to show the hard work the offense had put in at practice over the week making poor decisions on the two opening drives. Once he relied on the practice and the plethora of playmakers at his disposal he was able to command the offense to some success. Hopefully Flacco comes out next week firing on all cylinders next week so we can have a faster start.

The RB's answered the bell this week grinding out the yardage we needed to stay balanced. Kenneth definitely has the ability to be the bell cow if he stays focused.

I think we saw Breshad really take the next step here today to becoming a real dynamic playmaker. don't think they ever really found an answer to his speed and YAC ability. The rest of the group stays solid each and every week giving Joe the options he needs.

The line played absolutely phenomenal today, opening holes and keeping the gunslinger clean to operate.

Defensively we kept consistent pressure on Tom and forced him into some errors with mixed coverage. Judon found his groove attacking his run fits and piling up the tackles, big jump for that young man in PT. Sizzle is still getting after the QB from any spot we want to put him at, really the consummate pro.

In the secondary Jimmy had a superb afternoon and we look for that to continue as we move forward as he really needs to be that #1 corner our defense covets. Everyone out there was closing windows fast and playing level headed ball. Very well rounded D coming through for us.

Tuck missed his lone FG today but knocked in his XP's. Need the leg to be a little more consistent.

KENNY BELL ladies and gentlemen. He consistently is giving us favorable field position with his PR's if he continues with this elusiveness he's gonna push for O work. The next D. Hester in the building.

Proud of this team the way they battled through the early diversity and came together to get the victory. It'll be tough sledding against this defense headed forward and I think our squad has what it takes.

This team is amped up and ready for next week.
GO RAVENS!

The Cardinals hosted the Raiders in the wildcard game on Tuesday. This was a heartbreaker said
Coach Heat , to have a good season 8-2 and to drop the 1st game in the playoffs to a HAIL MARY PASS stung. The game started out with the Raiders receiving and taking their first drive down to the redzone but could only manage a fg and they went up 3-0. Palmer had his struggles with making the right reads tonight throwing a total of 4 picks. The Cardinals took their opening drive down in Raiders territory but Palmer threw a pick which stopped a good drive. The Raiders got the ball back but went 3 and out . The Cardinals came back with another drive that came down to a 3rd and 5 and the first read was underneath but Carson saw JJ streaking and behind the corner so he took a shot and JJ pulled in a 53 yd pas for a td Cards go up 7-3. The Raiders next drive stalled and the Cardinals got it back but could only manage a fg in their next drive to go up 10-3. The Raiders would come back with a Jano fg to make it 10-6. The Cardinals struck again when Carson found J Brown On a flag route, he split the defenders leaped up grabbed the ball came down and took it to the house Cardinals go up 17- 6. The Raiders finally scored on an arrant throw by Palmer and the Raiders get a pick 6 now the score is 17- 13. The Cardinals got back down the field but Catanzaro missed a 41 yd fg attempt. Both defenses battled until there was 1 minute left on the clock and here's how it ended.
The Cardinals could have sealed the deal with a 4 and 1 at the 44 yd line, Coach Heat went for it and got stuffed. Raiders ball with 53 seconds remaining. On their first play they tried an out play that didn't work. On the next play Carr decided to throw up a prayer to Amari Cooper and yes he came down with it in the endzone to put the Raiders up 20 - 17 and you could hear a pin drop in Phoenix Stadium and the look on everybody's face, SHOCK yes the Raiders have just upset the Cardinals. Coach Heat said yes it was a disappointing loss but it couldn't go to a better Coach my best friend Coach Nupe. Good luck and I hope you can get to the Bowl.

Postgame presser, Ravens HC:

With an opportunistic Offense and a smothering defense our squad will advance to the next round of play. Complete game by our team, exactly how Raven football should be played. Hardnosed, nasty mother*******.

Flacco played the way we need him to. Set up the shot plays where our guys had an chance to make the play. Joe made good decisions with it all day long, he'll get us where we need to go.

The RB's need to do a better job creating on their own they've got a chance to show they're dynamic backs and they've figuratively, and literally, dropped the ball. I expect them to improve going forward.

The O-line did a great job keeping the pocket clean. missed one blitz pickup. Very productive day for these gents in the ground game, did a wonderful job of keeping our backs clean until the 2nd level allowing us to keep the gameplan open.

We spread the ball out to 7 different guys with only 14 pass attempts. I think that speaks volumes about the depth we feel we have with our receiving core right meow. Breshad is really turning into a nice weapon for us at the most opportune time.

Defensively I don't think I have to say too much this week; they've kinda spoken for themselves haven't they? Limiting a VERY good Titans line to 1 yard on 16 carries? Those men responded to last week with outstanding effort and impeccable technique. Huge game for our Defense as a whole. The planning in the Defensive room was on point this week in practice and I think it showed up here today.

With the front 7 destroying an shot at a ground game our safeties were able to help out and freelance more in the passing game which really tightened the windows and helped us bring in 4 INT's and helped a lot of balls hit the ground. Unfortunate one of those guys couldn't get to the endzone, I think they spent a few hours after practice trying out their pick6 dance moves.

Tucker was impeccable today with 100% accuracy on 6 kicks.

Kenny Bell and the return squad finally got over the hump and into pay dirt. We felt it coming, it was only a matter of time before he found the seam he needed. I think he can be a special returner.

Great coverage on K.O.'s huge hit by Zad out there, don't know how Marc held onto the rock.

Huge win for the franchise and as we'll be on the road most likely the rest of these playoffs, I want to give a huge shout out to the Baltimore faithful for bringin' the noise tonight and all season long. Wouldn't be able to do it without you guys out there.

We're going to start preparing for next week so we can bring that Lombardi back home to you all. On to the next one.
GO RAVENS!

The Broncos come away with the road playoff win in a typical tense playoff game. Both teams made plays when they needed to give themselves a chance. Coach DMC and his Broncos made 1 more play, a red zone INT as time expired. The Broncos avenged an early season loss to the Buccs at home after a late INT led to the Buccs kicking the game winning FG. Congrats to Coach DMC! Don't look back, go take it!
